Training Target Group

This course has been designed for new Mitsubishi users who wish to gain profound knowledge of the Mitsubishi systems and to develop PLC programs using the extensive and advanced functions of the GXIEC-Developer programming package.

(Pre) Knowledge

To join this course basic knowledge of programming similar PLC types and a knowledge of digital technology is advantageous. Knowledge of PC's and MS-Windows is essential.

Training Global Contents

This course assumes that the FX-PLC (Compact series), system A & System Q (modular system) will be chosen. When booking this course please indicate your preferred hardware platform. During this course an initial overview will be given of the various hardware components and their functional capabilities. Before starting with the software the basic IEC 61131-3 standard is explained. GXIEC-Developer is then explained using clear examples and short practice sessions. Detailed instructions, programming methods, handy tools and tips follow to help the user properly structure, program and document the PLC program for successful implementation and maintenance.

Training Methods

ATS courses are given by highly qualified trainers, with practical knowledge, in professional ATS training centres or On-Site. Prior to the course an intake conversation can take place to define the participant(s) and the company's requirements. Presentations (theory and examples) as well as practical exercises bring the courses to life. ATS courses are interactive, the trainer will always make sure the training contents link back to your situation.

  • Basics of the 5 programming languages (IL, LD, FBD, SFC, ST)
  • Basic functions of GXIEC-Developer
  • Global Variable List, Program Organisation Unit, Tasks
  • Devices (data registers, timers, counters etc.)
  • Monitoring, On-line changes etc.

  • Advanced functions and capabilities of GXIEC-Developer

  • Special markers and registers
  • Error searching
  • Special modules such as analogue and communication modules

Remarks

If the participant does not have any or little (pre) knowledge of PC's and Windows, the duration of this course will be lengthened by 1 day to cover this subject. Also a 1 day course Control Technology can be added as a starting point. This course can also be given for GX-Developer on request.
